This is usually caused by wear in the inner CV joints or an imbalance in the propeller shaft. Because the S6 Turbo Quattro delivers high torque, these drivetrain components endure substantial stress that can lead to play over time.

On many Audi models, including the S6, it is possible to replace just the ABS ring if the constant velocity joint itself is otherwise in good condition. This is a cost-effective fix if you are only having issues with the ABS signal.
