CVJoint24 Sponsorship Commitments for the Future!
At CVJoint24, the international shop of the Swedish company Drivknuten, we sponsor a variety of events, teams and drivers where, more often than not, "heart rules over head". The reason we let our hearts decide is so that it feels right, makes a difference, and above all helps promising young prospects and talents.
We do this to ensure motorsport continues to move forward. Even if our modest resources cannot transform the entire scene, we can at least do something. We live by the motto: No one can do everything, but many can do a little!
In our view, woefully few resources are invested in motorsport generally—especially when it comes to grassroots recruitment, and particularly in comparison with other sports. The Swedish Motorsport Federation has become a sluggish obstacle that should be ashamed of its shortcomings in development, youth recruitment and fresh thinking.
We were quick to jump on board the Projekt F1 initiative, which we believe could be a genuine game-changer. The concept brings together a network of companies under one roof to scout and support young motorsport talent with resources, valuable contacts and, of course, direct financial backing so they can forge a career in a sport that is far too costly today.
When the documentary "Smokey's Dream" hit cinemas and aired on SVT—telling the story of how Sven "Smokey" Åsberg defied the odds in the 1970s to bring Formula 1 to Sweden and Anderstorp—we were deeply moved. Without passionate enthusiasts like him, nothing gets off the ground.
Working within our modest means, we try to step up wherever we can. In 2024, we are proud to sponsor, support and contribute to the following:
- Emma Wigroth from Halmstad, competing in the Porsche Sprint Challenge behind the wheel of a Porsche Cayman GT4 RS.
- Melvin Kalousdian from Örebro, an exceptionally promising karting prospect.
- Brothers Charlie and Casper Jonasson from Hässlarp, both outstanding karting talents.
- ACE-Competition Anders "Mr Audi" Carlsson from Borås with his Audi Sport Quattro replica.
